Friends, can someone explain where the problem is? I bought the SL500 2003 with no clue about keyless entry. I received electronic cards with the car. But that does not work. That is, the system itself is checked by a computer, the batteries in the card are checked, but it does not recognize the card. So it is with the Start button. Does not work. Help advice please.

 

need to check in Xentry > keyless go and EIS if your cards are recognized and registered in slot 5 and 6

 

I would check fuse 58 in the rear fuse box. If you are uncertain which fuse that is, then check every fuse, or run the Starfinder application and search for K40/2f58 for a picture of its location. You can download Starfinder along with all of your vehicle's wiring diagrams here.

If the fuse is fine, then I would order a replacement Keyless Go module from eBay for c. $20.

thanks for the explanation and file on OneDrive. The file does not open, my SmartScreen filter in Microsoft Defender identifies it as risky (MSI extension). Windows Installer Could you give me this with another file or upload it to Google Drive?

I replicated your experience on my own laptop and found that when you click on "More Info" at the SmartScreen filter you are then offered a button to run the file "anyway". When you run the application depending upon your security settings you will get warnings about Active X controls which you can safely acknowledge and continue.

Incidentally, if you right-click on a wiring diagram you can then choose to change the behaviour of the mouse cursor to either pan all around or zoom in and out. These diagrams are far superior to those in the WIS, Alldada, and others.

As a word of caution, before installing Peter's "compact version", consider reading about it here. I certainly would not wish to emulate that.

I can offer a solution, but first I need to know what version of Windows you are using; e.g., XP, 7, 8...

Starfinder-ETM is a package of wiring diagrams, parts locator, and electrical troubleshooting which is far superior to anything else like it. The MSI file simplifies everything by requiring only a few mouse clicks, and by using Windows built-in installer program msiexec, it automatically populates the Start Menu. Alternatively, I can ZIP the content and make available for download. The end result is the same, but to achieve it requires a bit of effort and knowledge of Windows. One way or another I will put Starfinder-ETM into your hands.

You might try giving this a try: Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter. I'm going to contact a friend at Microsoft for suggestions. If there is no fix by tomorrow morning, I'll give you a link to a ZIP file as I mentioned before.
