I have owned at least twenty Mercedes cars in the last 25 years, and only ONE of them has had a white Daimler-Benz sticker at the windshield! And I am 100% certain that all of the glass in these cars, of which I own five today, is/was all original. I wonder, do people remove the sticker? Was every Benz ever delivered supplied with that white rectangular sticker near the base of the windshield? My Maserati doesn't have a sticker in its windshield, either. LoL
Tony, I always removed the white sticker from all of my Mercedes. But my wife won't let me touch those stickers on her windshields. My '16 S550Coupe solved that problem - no sticker but the word Mercedes is molded into the glass.

I have had multiple Mercedes and all have had the sticker and not one has had the sticker removed by the dealer. It is suppose to stay on the car when purchased.

it is supposed to be removed
maybe your or US dealers leave it there but it is supposed to be removed
I am thinking it's a matter of preference. I've never bought one brand new from a dealership. A lot of people for some reason take the sticker off. Maybe some dealerships do that, too. Since my big black S550 has it on there I'll leave it where it is. It almost looks like a special parking authorization. LoL Although, I park wherever I want to; no one's gonna stop me. It is a big black Mercedes, after all. I actually got a "parking ticket" back in February. I out it in the paper shredder when i got home. Actually, it was a citation for not having a front license plate. I don't use those on any of my cars.
I don't think that sticker is not supposed to be removed actually. I have seen the dealerships adding these decals on new replaced windshields. That said, the old ones are pretty ugly. They have been replaced by clear ones on newer models. Something like this...

might be just a taste problem them
decals look nice but don't explain why Benz is not present
Some small correction; I didn't refer to Daimler AG in a historical sense, it is actually the current name of the company (2007+). Daimler Benz is historical and Mercedes Benz is a brand of Daimler AG.
Btw. the British Daimler had no relation at all to the German Daimler other than acquiring the right to use the brand name hundred-some years ago

I understand that it's just weird exposing a old signature refers to history, and if you lookup history the story is not the same
