2009 SL550 - new to me. One owner, 30,000 miles. Awesome condition except the rash under the front nose. VIN decoder say car has - CODE 772 pkg. - AMG STYLING PACKAGE - FRONT SPOILER, SIDE SKIRT. So on my back for an inspection. What I found was a lot of rash and a disported edge in the middle of the bumper, but no secondary spoiler. The bumper skin just wraps under the nose and ends. Is it possible the AMG front spoiler was a separate piece of molding that may have been ripped off from a parking curb by the PO and never replaced? I'm not very interested in replacing the entire bumper skin just to get a spoiler. If someone does know if the AMG front spoiler was a separate piece of trim, help with a part number would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mark, My wife did the same type of scrapes when she parked in too close to a wheel stop. The first time she did it the under side of the bumper was cracked so I replaced it. The AMG bumper is more expensive than the basic bumper as you might imagine. I did not have any other spoiler under there either before or after the replacement. And if you want to have the scrapes repainted, there are companies that will come to your house and do a focused refinish using airbrush techniques at a fraction of the cost of a high end body shop. FX - attractive ride! So that's an aftermarket chin spoiler that attaches somehow to the lower bumper skin? What's the typical attachment process? Adhesive or screws/bolts?
