Two questions for Xentry experts

If you look at the R230 instrument panel as a pair of 3 line displays, in the UK the left display top line 1 always says the speed in kph. Where in xentry is there a setting to change this to mph?? ive tried various setting even managed to enable a neat little feature that switches the actual speedo dial to kph then back to mph in menus. Im presuming its some subtle region or key setting, please answer if you know

Also there is a feature where every 15 screen washes in an ignition cycle the headlights wash... Yes there is and after onver 10 years of owning the car only just found it in wis and it does do what it says, so obvious question is there anywhere to drop this to 4 or 5.. Central Gateway? A SAM?

Also slightly curious as to what AMG speedstep is?

If memory serves me correctly, it is in the IC itself. It’s been a while since I played with a 230 chassis but have done it before. It is not in any Sam module or ME module.

Hi I’ve had this done this on my car by my local specialist. It was a couple of years ago so I’m a bit hazy, but I think it involves going into the dash settings and changing the region to “Rest Of World”

It can’t be done through the in car menus. It’s a legal requirement for UK cars to be able to display Km/hr at all times. Hence it needs region change on the dash which can’t be done through the car menus

Looks like all the " Specialist" guys are not so expert after all.

Control units>>Information and comm>>ICM>>Diagnosis to plant specifications>>Control unit adaptions>>Control unit adaptions(Variant coding)>>Variantenkodierung>>
Then set "United Kingdom variant" to disable, then F3 twice.

You can change the display between speed and temp. on the steering wheel.

Interesting, I did that a few days ago which got rid of km/h but its been replaced by nothing in a couple of screens and trip mileage in 3
