R230 SL500 2002 accumulators

I did research, but couldn't find info...
How many accumulators does car use? 2 or 4? I assume 2, because there are 2 valve blocks...

TIA

There are 2 large accumulators, 1 smaller return accumulator, and one pulsation damper.
There is 1 large accumulator mounted to the front valve block, 1 large accumulator mounted to a separate chassis with the rear valve block. This is also where the return accumulator is located. This is located in the forward rear drivers wheel well. You need to remove the inner wheel well to access this.

On this year, the pulsation damper is mounted in the rear of the front drivers wheel well behind the side vent. It’s easier to remove the inner wheel well and drivers side vent to get to this one.

So, the answer to your question is there are a total of 4 in the car.
