LegitStreetCars did a YouTube on it - installed one on his CL65. As I recall, he said he didn't notice (or really expect) any performance change, but it did allow a lot more intake/turbo sound to be heard.
The thing I don't like about this kit is that you're ditching the factory cold air intake (which is actually pretty good) and installing a 100% hot air intake. That's not a great idea on a boosted car that's notorious for high under-hood temperatures. Keeping IATs as low as possible is extremely important in a boosted motor.
I don’t worry at all about cold air intake vs regular intake. I ve never had an issue and usually see a slight gain when on the drag strip with a decent intake over factory setup.
Thank you for your order!

does the intake come with installation instructions? And how long does it take to ship out? I stumbled across the Thermainator intake manifold gasket on your site as well. Haven’t seen anything about it online but seems like it would be huge for the m275 since we are always trying to keep our intake air temps down.
Finally got the intake kit and went to install tonight. FYI. This kit will not fit without modification on a 2004 sl600. There is a hose (pcv?) that will not reach the barbed connection on the new intake tube and it cannot be rerouted to reach as there is a bracket in the way. I noticed there is some sort of diaphragm or valve on the factory air box as well.
Thinking maybe an oil catch can is in order. When I took off the factory air boxes, there was some oil on the rubber seat ring that you reuse.
