Is there a connection between flat starter battery and ABC malfunction?
Good morning. And Merry Christmas. My 2005 SL600 has heretofore been operating wonderfully. I keep both batteries on a Ctek trickle charger based on advice found here, thank you all!
However, this week the car refused to crank and I have received messages saying ABC Too Low.
Wondering if there is link between the starter battery condition and ABC refusing to raise the front of the car...?
I should add that I've ordered a new MB starter battery and intend to install this week.
I'm kinda heartbroken and would appreciate advice, please.

There should not be any connection between the two. Did you use the height button or move the car after you got it started. ABC does not activate when you first start the car, it need to sense motion or have a change in height from the button.

It activates when you start to drive, or if you change height with the button on the console.

I suggest you disconnect the rear battery asap. It is not supposed to be connected while the front battery is out. I presume that if your starter battery is indeed dead it creates a situation similar to the front battery being disconnected. It's all about BCM trouble and you do not want to go there.
