6 dashes - - - - - - on my mileage counter
Hi, Can any one help
My mileage counter is showing 6 dashes - - - - - - instead of the mileage,
Does anyone know the fix to show my mileage again?
Will an MBStar help?

Well the MB Star says everything is linked ok with the cluster and has no fault codes.
If there is anyone else out there this has happened to and they managed to fix it, I would love to hear how you done the fix,,,

when this happened on my e55 it was due to a bad transmission electrical bung that had just been replaced with a conductor plate.

Everything else on the cluster is working OK, its only those dashes, I'm willing to try any small job before sending into to a gararge, so I just want to know people's experiences with this problem to see if I can replicate and find a fix,, I'm pretty sure in my case it seems like something simple

If someone changed the cluster, yes. It needs a cluster with the mileage zeroed and then they can be married together. It It also possible that the cluster is original and someone replaced the EIS, ECM, and ECU. In that case you would get the mileage of the donor car.
