How much did you pay?

Looking at trading my 05 E320 on an 05 SL500. Anyone that has bought an 05, can you tell me what you paid?

something fast
Depends on what colors and options you want and where you are located, but you should find them for a couple of thousand off sticker.

2005 SL 500
Got mine for $500 over invoice. There are websites that give you the invoice and MSRP (sticker) prices for the car and all options. My dealer and I sat down added up the invoice price of the car and all invoice price options (AMG Performance Package, Bi-Xenon, Trim and Confort). After that, he simply added $500 to the invoice price and voila. Saved almost $8000 on total price and taxes. The real good think about it is I went to my dealer and told him that I was at another Mercedes Dealer and got a price that was a few thousand off of MSRP. Without skipping a beat, my dealer said "I'll give it to you for $500 over invoice". That was it, I was sold. However, after I bought the car at Ray Catena (2nd largest Mercedes dealer in country and luxurious to the point that you would not believe), I went to the small dealer that is tucked just outside from where I work and saved $250 on the extended warrantee (I paid $2390 at Contemporary Mercedes) compared to Ray Catena's price.

Wow, I got carried away there. Go to the largest dealer you can find and don't accept anything more that 1 or 2 grand over invoice. If you can get to $500 or lower, great!

Good luck and by the way, go for the SL 500. Best decision I've ever made. I can't express how happy I am with my car.

Invoice

Quite a fiew are available at invoice. You need to research what the manufacturer to dealer incentives are to get below invoice and probably deal directly with the sales manager. When you find owt what the incentive is, I would guess on the $5K order of magnetude, let us know.

Oh this is great news...

I am talking specifically about the 2005 SL600 which production slots are "supposedly" quite hard to come by.

Has anyone paid less than sticker (MSRP) for a 2005 SL600?

Tell me gently if it is yes.

Paid Sticker Price, hard to negotiate when the dealer can hardly get a slot for one. What's a few grand either way, when you are spending this kind of money.

Loaded

SL500's are all over the place on dealer lots.

That will not be the same for SL600's.

MB of Tampa has four SL600's.. I was shocked that they had that many. Last week they had 10 CLs500's. I guess they are buying other dealers allocations.

I just checked out their site. They have a total of 52 different SL's for sale, all brand new with several choices of each from SL500's to SL65's.

That company has got some money tied up in inventory!
