SL/R231: Good Deal?

Good Deal?
I'm on the fence on ordering the new SL 550. The dealer pulled some strings and reallocated their special edition order to my custom order so it can be here by June.
I built a diamond white with red interior and premium 1 and sport packages. They won't budge on the price Msrp price of 114k.
What they did do is offer a trade in on my 09 C63 in immaculate condition with 14k miles for 47k (the initial offer was 41k which was absurd). So with NY tax break of the trade in I'm looking at a total value of 50,800.
Should I go for it or are people paying less than MSRP for the car?

MSRP?
I'd be shocked if anyone is getting these for under MSRP. Brand new models as this is always (in my experience) command full price, for a few months at least. If you can wait, price might come down. And dealer can close the gap by giving you more on trade in, etc. On the other hand, this is a stunning car and life is short. If you get it, take some pix and show it to the crowd. Best wishes.

You're going to like it. Some dealers are going to charge more than sticker and they will get it. Apparently MBUSA is not allowing that many of them into production right now, so there is a limited supply.
I don't see the problem with aesthetics that some people do and much of the front end design is driven by safety requirements.
The car is fast, quiet, very comfortable and fun.
Again, you're going to like it!

NICE!!!!!!!!!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Sounds like a BLAST, with a paid vacation! My work has me back and forth to Italy and Spain frequently and I do like it there----when I'm not working, that is. LOL.
One word of caution---and only if you have not driven in Europe. When you get into the towns of Europe be prepared for small streets, narrow parking, tight quarters. Italy and Spain especially seem rather congested where roads between ancient buildings are more designed for horses and wagons--not nice car territory. Also, this is not a small car. It's 1/2 wider wider than the S!

I got 7% off for EDP.
An Additional 3% off from the dealer.
+$750 off of the published 7 year /115K mile extended MB Warantee. (Thought with all the new gadgets it was worth the money....)
