BINGO ....my MB dealer (Tampa) is evaluating sources for R231 Rear Deck Spoilers. Their normal source cannot meet their needs since the R231 trunk contour is slightly different compared to the R230.
Might give the Parts Mgr a buzz ....(813) 873-2360.
I like the shape, but it's pretty large...I might be all over it if it was about an inch narrower (front to back). I'll have to look at it for awhile and see how it settles. The price is quite stout as well...AMG spoilers aren't much more than that.
2nds shop in Germany at about 250 euros +shipping has some. I got one (facelift version), was in the original plastic bag with slight scuff marks (no not suitable for a factory install). <5min polishing the the scuffs and it is perfect. Mine was "A" qulity and the top is "A+". I waited until they had a sale and got it for about 220 euro delivered.

The CPO 2013 SL550 I had, came to me with a spoiler. My detail guy recommended that I NOT attempt to remove it, as there was a possibility of damaging the paint, so I left it on. It was OK, but I do prefer the cleaner lines without the spoiler. I feel that the spoiler spoils the look.

A spoiler would pull attention away from your emblem!!
Not in my case, and frankly never have on any Amazon or ebay purchase, and I've made quite a few.
The spoiler I got arrived in less than a week, was well packaged and was simple to install. Uses two-sided tape that you have to put on yourself. Easy, looks perfect, and unbelievable bargain IMO. Seller has great feedback and reviews.
That's kind of odd...I hadn't noticed before that the silver car in the eBay ad has a different spoiler on it than the black one shown in free space. They have clearly different end contours. The "silver" one has the edge of the spoiler maintained all the way to the end, while the "black" one flattens out on the end. Folks ordering/buying them now seem to be receiving the "black" one, rather than the "silver" one on the car.
