2. Is this for front rotor, if so can you take a measurement of the pad swiping width so I can check against the OE pad I posted. As with what Randy confirmed - the pad top edge lines up with the rotor edge, therefore the top part of rotor should not be contacted, but it's not what your pictures show.

Warren these pics are all correct. Remember the factory pad is very soft and wears very fast. The angled edge on the top of the factory pad was nearly gone on the last SL we did and it only had 480 miles on it.

We're coming up on 6 weeks since this post. How is it going?

Thanks.

Thanks.
If you remove the pads you will find the dust problems will go. And the drive
is more exciting.

Unfortunately the dust might show up in what is left of the driver's seat. Otherwise known as me.

I am sorry for you all squeak-victims !! I am another one too!!

I installed on perfect discs new pads: they keep squeaking,
tried ALL ways to fix, dismounted three times!
at he end I realize it is due to the material of the pads.

I can only say: avoid SIMER and XPAD brand pads like hell !!!!!!!

I have a 2013 sl550 and live in orange county. The dust is a massive issue and would be willing to help out or volunteer my car for it if needed still
