My dealer knows nothing now

why would you give them 51,000 ??? I've never had to give more than $1000 for any hold for my amg's

I ordered the car in May, dealer offered me 51,000 up from 46,000 because it was the beginning of summer. Dealer rep told me the car would be built the second week of June ( actually was later it left the factory on June 27 th) I was told that the vehicle would arrive in Baltimore around the 25 of July and that I would take delivery before the end of July ! I was traveling during late June to mid July so I thought the timing would work perfectly !

Then excuses started in August then dealer blamed it on the Dept. of Trans. Here people said on this site it was Mercedes doing. Dealer blames the Gov.
I would think they have ordered cars in this time frame before. And would know of any possible Dept of Trans. Problems. Nothing from the dealer about DOT .

In early August dealer tells me "Late August ".

August passes and now nothing but silence (although one sales mgr said by
September 15. )

No car on October 1st in my driveway, then I will pick up a check from the dealer and just enjoy my 2017 Lincoln MKX with 4 wheel drive in the Snow


P.S. I traded my 2015 SL 400 with 13,500 miles they started at 69,900 but eventually sold it in the low 60's. and it had 4 New tires on it prior trade !


Now you know why I am irritated !

Nothing out of Brunswick either as far as 450s.
550s have come out because my dealer got one about 10 days ago.
Delay remains a mystery
I decided I wanted an SL in April.
Fell for it in 1978 and finally decided to pull the trigger.
I know I will wait but don't have the wacky trade piece of the puzzle that you have.
Hope it still works out for you.

I've seen a few chrome cars, and they aren't that bad. In fact, one is done by Mercedes and is sitting in their EDP facility in Sindelfingen, https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/mer...n-gran-turismo.

You may already know this, but if you know what ship your car is on, you can track it online by googling the ship's name. My car left Bremerhaven on July 11, and reached Halifax 9 days later. It took another 2 days to get to Baltimore, 4 more to Charleston and then 2 more days to Brunswick. (And then 13 more days to the west coast, 2 days to clear Customs, and 17 days in the VPC and in transit before I was able to pick it up.) The car is well worth the wait!

Dealer promised end of July - (as if they did not know the DOT was doing this (hollding up imports in the past) - I did track the vehicle - knew when it left the factory, knew the ship it was shipped on, and when it arrived in Baltimore - Dealer blames DOT - others here say its MERCEDES, and nothing to do with DOT -

I JUST WANT THE CAR !

I know its worth the wait - but its getting a litte long in the tooth !

Supposed to be released the last 10 days of September - we will see !
