Is there any way to tell in a SL63 by looking at the interior pics if it has the Suspension option ABC for $1500?
Some say it tightens the suspension 30% more, some say you can raise and lower the car etc but these sales people these days don't know anything and when you build a new car it shows a pic of the console but it looks the same as any other console of a car that doesn't have the suspension option.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

That profanely is a SL console but not the AMG which is different.
There is a button on the SL that looks like a car. Press it with the engine running and you can visibly see the car go up or down. Also (not sure about AMG) but one of my driving modes is CV (curve tilt) so C, S, S+, I, CV

Not sure what you mean. Every SL63 and SL65 has ABC. You could never buy a AMG R231 without ABC...Originally Posted by smess

When you build a new 17 or 18 SL63 you get to an option page where the following is offered:
AMG Performance Suspension with 2-stage adjustment
$1,500
Description of the Option: Firmer overall damping rates elevate the handling sharpness of the AMG SL63 with this track-tuned suspension setup. Two stages of adjustment offer distinctly different ride and handling characteristics that the driver can select to suit the situation. In Comfort mode, the system parameters deliver a remarkably compliant ride even with the firmer damping in corners. Sport mode makes the most of the 30% higher damping rate to cling the road or track with virtually no body roll.
The picture that is associated with this option when you click to read the specifics on this option is pictured below.
I have seen cars with the option and without and both of their shifter areas look identical to what you see below.
Is there another way to engage the comfort vs sport option that they refer to in the options explanation or is the circular knob with the I, c, s, s+, r programmed to have this 30% more stiffness and less body roll that they refer to?
I have had previous 65's that have the car pic button (these cars do not have like the older ones) and when you press the button the car lowers and raises so that is not the answer.
Thanks

It’s the center button. This is a 63 option only, not available on the 65. The rotating knob is for the transmission mode.
I do not have my new SL65 yet but on the 2018 E63S the transmission mode selection has a particular suspension setting pre programmed. For example when R for Race is selected the suspension goes to S+ and the exhaust bypass valves open. I do not know if the SL63 works like this.

The sl63’s with and without the option have that center button so i wonder if that button does something different on the suspension option cars or if its pre programmed in the knob like the e.
The mystery remains, thanks.

I originally misunderstood the question. That said I believe you won't be able to see any physical button difference as both are ABC-based performance suspensions. As indicated, the likely difference would be different ABC programming and perhaps (I am guessing here) an additional option selection on screen either when pressing the damper button or selecting the dynamic select options. It will be a firmer ride so before selecting it try to drive one without. Our E63s in Sport+/Race mode is firmer than any other AMG including the AMG GT models. That was a surprise...
Thanks for the info Wolf, that makes sense. Pretty sad that there is not a MB sales person that knows the answer to that question.
I have a E63S also and I feel like the suspension is stiffest when I hit the button that looks like a shock but who knows how the SL is programmed.

Changing the driving modes automatically selects the suspension settings. In the individual mode you can select the pick which suspension mode you want.Originally Posted by smess

In regards the the E63s suspension, the W213 is firmer than the W212. Of course it doesn't help to have the performance seats as well. We did lower our E as well and widen the stance a bit as we did on our SL...
