2015 SL400
SL400 custom wheels

Hi all. First time MB owner! Just bought a 2015 black SL400 and want to replace the silver wheels with 20in wheels. Looking for mainly black with subtle silver accents. I like these Helo HE890s but they don't come in a size that will work staggered so I'd have to go with 255/30/20 all around.
I've always had staggered wheels (prefer the look) and would appreciate advice from A) anyone who has replaced theirs with same size front & back wheels and B) suggestions/photos of other staggered wheels that work.

I recommend to stay away from wheels that don’t even fit. The offset matters for proper fit. Staggered is the standard layout for the SL and recommend to stay with that.

Also, having a deeper dish wheel is old school and may not look good on the SL. Suggest concave wheel designs.

You might want to check out HRE wheels. Apart from their pricey forged wheels they also have flow formed wheels that look great, will have perfect fit for the car as they handle the fitment and have lot of finishes. Reasonable too...

Ignoring the fact that those rims are hideous, they arent staggered most likely dont have the correct fitment. Those wont work on an SL.

Just start saving your worn out toothbrushes. Should not take more than a hour per wheel to clean!

I remember seeing these. Technolgy showcase. Good looking wheel for exotics. 3D printed Titanium with CF barrel. I assume close to $10k per wheel

This is the wheel I would recommend for the OP.
Flowform wheels are a step up from cast aluminum wheels (like MB stock wheels) and a step below forged wheels at a fraction (25-30%) of the price.

I put HRE flow form wheels on my wagon. Around $2,800 for the set five years ago.

I hear so many companies quoting a type of manufacturing process that makes their wheels so great. What are the various types of production for alloy wheels and which are the best?

After much searching, I ended up with Avant Garde M610 wheels, staggered with stock off set. I like the look and get compliments on the car since I made the swap. Avant Garde has a number of manufacturing processes, and finishes to customize the wheels. Bottom line, these work for my taste and driving.
