I like it- not so sure of the 20" on the rear but I love the wheel design and the chrome accents. Magnetite black (Dark metallic Gray) is an awesome color and looks VERY handsome with the Chrome IMO
I believe there was already a thread on this topic. Consensus was the interior colors could have been executed better but the overall package/price was a great value.
Hands-down the best OEM wheels for the SL, including the 20" wheels in the rear. That said, those wheels come in a number of finishes, from polished (Streamliner) to Titanium (our SL's) to black (this car). I like black the least but as forged wheels, they are better than any other wheel available for the SL.
Just FYI, the 19"/20" wheel combo is how AMG does all their sports cars...
2019 SL450, 2019 E450 Luxury Trim Wagon, 2024 BMW I7 xDrive60
RE: SL Grand Edition, I personally find these cars to be wanting. The Graphite exterior color is very nice, but the magnificent, forged wheels “disappear” against the dark exterior. Why they did black wheels seems very odd to me. The SL65AMG quilted interior is certainly a plus, but whomever chose the leather colors and wood trim, must have been mainlining mushrooms at the time, as for me, the colors & finishes clash horribly. Lastly, how “grand” can these cars be, when they all lack the truly amazing Active Body Control option??? The SL65 interior & forged wheels are certainly offered at a great price, but if you don’t like the look, what good are they? How they could paint those sensational wheels black is beyond me.
