SL/R231: Park (P) Selector button problem

There must be someone out there with a 3D printer who could make an exact replacement part?
They just need to pop out the button, do a 3D scan of it, do some magical clean up of the scan (this is the hard part), and then print it.
There's a number of affordable multicolor 3D printers available now. A couple of them are actually in the price range of the replacement shifter. Anyone looking for a project? 😁
There's also a lot of small shops that do additive manufacturing. Maybe one can be convinced to offer this part. I've seen lots of posts like this one so seems like there's a decent market for this part.

I'm reposting this from my earlier post above in case it was missed. It seems like a pretty viable option, and very cheep to try.
"I just got off the phone with a local engraver. They can cut and engrave (P) onto a piece of sticky backed metal (could be chrome, satin finish etc.) to fit that area. They can also use a colored plastic material that, when engraved, will allow the light to illuminate the “P”. He said it would be around $20.00."

I'd be happy to do that, but I don't remember which engraving place I called. I just picked one of the many near me (Halifax N.S.).

Slightly off topic, ... did a bit of internet searching and I am not seeing any replacements for the four buttons below the Park Selector button (or three buttons if your vehicle lacks the ABC). I don't need the controller unit, just the buttons themselves. Anyone got a link to a seller?

just placed an order for the replacement button in black. we'll see how easy to replace the oem when the new one arrives. I'm not a purist so the black one will do just fine. we'll see i guess.

My Park (P) Selector button on the center console behind the shifter is worn and delaminating. Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the button/cover itself (the silver piece with the illuminated "P") or do I need to replace the whole button assembly or shifter assembly, etc. ? At this point it's merely aesthetic as the silver material around the "P" is peeling up but it looks like crap. I looked on ebay and haven't been able to find anything.
Anyone familiar with how this thing comes apart and how I go about replacing it? Thanks in advance.
