SL/R231: Park (P) Selector button problem

I would rather buy a used assembly in case I need more than just one button. In the past I have seen some decent prices. Not always of course but if you find one in good condition, making a low-ball offer is always worth a try.
It's not that these things are flying if the shelves.
What to look for...
The shifters were used in several cars, so check on these:
R231 Mercedes SL
R172 Mercedes SLC
W117 Mercedes CLA
W176 Mercedes A
X156 Mercedes GLA
W463 Mercedes G-Wagon
Infinity Q30, QX30

The A/CLA/GLA 45 and G63 G-Wagon used the same shifter but with an AMG knob. That is a nice look. The SL63 used a different shifter (A2312670500) but is compatible with non AMG models but need more parts and some AMG-specific function will not work

What really surprised and pleased me was that the vendor supplied 4 of the “stickers”, 2 in silver and 2 in black. Also, the “P” is clear allowing it to be illuminated as the original was. So after all was said and done, the value was there and I’m very happy with the result.
