Special Designo Edition - Cardinal Red over Porcelain

It's also a CPO that has only been driven in Florida....(Never in the snow, so no exposure to corrosive road salt)

Have seen lots of these in Brilliant Blue, but not as many in the Cardinal Red that many here prefer...

Probably won't last long before a sale occurs....Somebody is bound to 'fall in love' with this one!

Price seems fair too.

Florida can be rather tricky when it comes to the question of "exposure to corrosive road salt", Of course, this is literally true...there is no "road" salt to worry about. However, if the car's life was spent anywhere near either coast, then it was continuously exposed to the ever-present salt in the air. I once bought a new Corvette from a dealer in Orlando. It had been on their lot almost a year. All the exposed aluminum on the car looked several years old...most notably, under-hood items like the alternator, AC compressor, various hose and radiator fittings, etc. They weren't downright crusty or anything like that...they just looked really tarnished.

Additionally, the Florida sun should not be discounted either. It's hell on dashboards, whether Chevy or M-B, and on blacked-out exterior trim (WS wipers, window trim, all of our exterior "vents", etc. You get the picture. Just presenting negative possibilities. I had a PPI done on an SL that was there near the west coast, and it turned out that all these possibilities (and more, and much more serious ones as well) were present. That inspection cost me $400(!), but when the results came in, I gladly spent it with a smile on my face. I cannot recommend PPIs strongly enough.

Not having seen the car in question, it could just as easily have spent much of its life garaged and safe. Then, none of this stuff probably applies. It could be a real cream puff...

My limited experience in Florida, is that it rained for at least five minutes EVERY day. Just enough to get the car wet, then the blazing sun came out again and seared all of those water droplets into the paint. The other Florida thing I remember, as I was waiting for a taxi at the Orlando airport, was a bit freaky. There were these impossibly tall parking lot light poles, must have been 4 or 5 stories up there (HOW do they change the bulbs???) and it was dusk, in the summer. I commented to my buddy “look at those birds flying around those lights way up there.” The guy at the taxi stand said “those are not birds, those are BUGS!” I guess I’ll put up with the insane taxes in California, as there is no way I’m putting up with those BUGS in Florida.

YEP LOL, everyday between 2 and 4:30pm nearly every single time I've gone to Miami, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Of course, if you would prefer Brilliant Blue over Cardinal Red, then this listing may be more appealing to you!...

Photos show it to be a 550 but listing says 450? If it's a 550 that's a great price. Will a Mercedes dealer certify it? Can you buy an ELW?

The Cardinal Red Designo Edition has now been sold...Didn't expect the Red to last long, however this Brilliant Blue Designo Edition is still available for sale here in South Florida...Click the link below to view.....
