SL/R231: Spacers
This picture (second picture in post #20 above) is "without" spacers - wheels/tires specs are 245/35-20 on 20x8.5 et28 front and 285/30-20 on 20x10 et38 rear:

Verses the stock set up, it is equivalent to still running front about 3mm spacers (lower offset, but narrower tire) and rear of about 15mm spacers.
This picture of the same/similar angle with identical wheel/tires, but with spacers resulting in front offset of et16 and rear offset of et28:
Verses the stock set up, it is equivalent to running front about 15mm spacers (lower offset, but narrower tire) and rear of about 25mm spacers.
The difference between above two pictures is clear. Verses the stock, it is immense. I did not notice much handling difference in driving between the above two. The big difference was when I had different tires (identical specs wheels), Pilot SuperSport on vs. these Continental DWS06. The only advantage of not running spacers or running less aggressive spacers (first picture), is that car's sides will certainly stay cleaner.
One more word on Sprint Booster. I took it off before driving 60miles to the dealership. The difference in every driving situation and especially when immediate acceleration was required was night and day with SB vs. without one. This is for all those SB(and similar devices) naysayers. Pre-facelift 2013-16 SL absolutely needs one.
