In looking for a gently used SL550, I am shocked by the absence of cars that are not black or white. I have my heart set on a gray or silver car with red interior, but am not finding any for sale. Are there any other places to look besides Mercedes websites, autotrader, cars.com, etc ??

Lack of color options has been a huge complaint for years but I am married to a woman of German descent and understand their thought process. 😊😊😊
Ha. Not my first Mercedes, but I have not had many. My 2017 SL 450 in silver with black interior is my favorite combo but want something a bit different. Since I like the way silver shows the lines of the car, I'd like to stay with silver or gray, but change things up with a red interior. I want to own one more V8 before I am too old !! so searching for a 2017 + SL550. I now know that my silver with red will require patience to find.
You might want to consider the porcelain/Black combo. My personal choice as we had 3 R231's, one in bengal red and two in porcelain; all in iridium silver and black ash trim...
Maintenance has always been easy and the interior looked like new for years. That said, most of our jeans are stone washed and not those dark blue jeans that bleed color for the next year or so.
The SL benefits from a sun-reflecting coating that actually helps keep the leather cleaner. Just use a moist cotton towel (not microfiber) to wipe the leather down occasionally. If there is a light discoloration from jeans it comes right off.
We have two other cars with an off-white interior and I would take one for the SL again. I didn't find them any more difficult than the red interiors.
