Has anyone replaced the A Pillar trim on our cars?

Hi,

Heard buzzing sound on the passenger side windshield. I think it's the A-pillar exterior trim piece which is a little lose. I taped the rubber seal and the sound when away.

Anyone pulled it out and replaced please help. I pulled the rivets on the 2 bottom portion but the stuck on the top and don't want to pull and break. Thanks.

With the top retracted. Have a look at the top of the A-Pillar. There are two pan head torx bolts on top of that A-pillar. (see below).
There’s also a lip on a piece of rubber molding the pillar is supposed to butt up against, and fit slightly under. (see pic)

I'll try that out ASAP. But, if I want to replace it, have you popped it out? I don't want to break a rivet or anything if I don't have to. I have 2 of the rivets removed from the metal but the top one is stuck.

Yes I’ve popped it off.
The clips will probably need to be replaced. They get brittle and typically a couple will break when you remove them. Chances are if it’s popping up and rattling, the clips they may be broken.
I would order new ones. They’re like 80c ea. Cheapest part you’ll probably ever buy for that car 😀

Thanks again. I see what you mean. I popped it off easy after removing the 2 torx screws. My clips are broken - probably some idiot mechanic. And someone forgot to inset the rivet attached to the body. So 4 cheapo parts I need to order. Hopefully, that fixes the buzzing noise....

Thanks again. Cheers.
