But can I afford it? Haven't yet looked at the price.

I like the new S-class, even the Maybach trim.
It has to be spec’d right but we are not in the market for a sedan.
Think $200k, perhaps $250k with ADM. Crazy market right now…
A we’ll spec’d S580 will set you back around $140k.
As for the new SL, there is a lot of overlap in the interior to the S-Class and I do like the exterior quite a bit.
Not as much as our GTC but better than the prior SL.
My biggest issue is actually the manual windscreen which and/or the wind buffeting without it.

I personally like the new SL, especially the interior. While I like a folding hard top, I think the lines of the new SL look good with the soft top up at least. The EQS really captures my interest and I am looking forward to test driving one to maybe replace my current EV. The Maybach has never grabbed my interest.

As my daily driver, I have a 2020 S560. It is difficult enough to park with so many “compact” spaces everywhere, so why would I want something longer? To me, a Maybach is a car to be DRIVEN in, not a car to personally DRIVE.
