Stopped by the Mercedes Benz of Music City yesterday for some service, and found this rather nice example in the showroom. 3,800 miles, original with luggage set, briefcase, valet key, everything. Just a cool $1.8 million, but is has recently had extensive service work and new tires, more due to age than mileage. Thought someone here might have the itch!
If you're getting the car as an investment, then why drive it at all?
If I bought a 9th car for $450k and drove it 3800 miles over 10 or whatever years and sold it for $1.8M I probably wouldn't care what plebeians on a forum thought about it (I say that as a plebeian in that world)...

Why wouldn't you? Other than the minor risk of light enjoyment, some vehicles are appreciating assets that can be enjoyed. The difference between 10 delivery miles and 3000 miles after 15 years will be negligible.
