SL/R231: trying to recall 231 modifation

trying to recall 231 modifation
A little help please. In the past someone modified a 231 with an AMG grill and possible bumper/front end. Also different aftermarket wheels. Paint was a silver/grey. An extraordinary improvement. I can't find it in the forum search bar. Can someone help me retrieve this post. The 232 is too GT for me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but just the grill was not it. This was a 231 with a full on gorgeous front end mod using the panamerica grill and it was striking. I'll ask Streamliner if possibly he remembers the post.

I remember that car. It was sick. People were asking why he just didn’t skip the cost and hassle and buy the newer model, or something. I forget what he said his reasons were.

You know...I really like that grille...I usually keep everything "as factory" for the most part, but it looks pretty good. I'm always thinking some things look "poseur-ish" (like ///M badges on non-M BMWs-but Mercedes has gone so AMG crazy at this point who knows)..but it's a subtle change that looks pretty sweet...I'll see if there are any pics on black SLs. Perhaps a project is in order since I need to take my bumper off anyway...

A member here does have all the info you need and he does sell everthing you need via his website.
I did my 2020 steering wheel upgrade through him, and customized everything. it was plug and play no suprises
