as a new member I have been looking for 6 months to find the right car and here it is
it is a 2012 SL350 with 21000 km on it.
It has service Bills from Mercedes, and there is no service due any time soon but I will bring it to the Mercedes dealer nearby for a check up anyway
it has a lot of options it not all.
I could not hear or feel any strange things during a test drive. It was so weird to feel the side bolders of the seats moving in turns. I did not even know this existed.
It has to be cleaned and cleared by the technical inspection so it will be home in a few weeks. Then it will go into storage until my oldtimer car is sold.
This car will be used only in the summer months so no daily driver.
I was wondering how many of these cars by this forums members is using this car as a fun car only.
Very nice and definitely doesn't show it's age. We have a 2014 SL550 that I bought for my wife. It has been used as a "fun car" since we've owned it. We have taken it on a couple trips to attend MB Club events, but, mainly use it for cruising the mountain roads in good weather. It has only been in the rain a few times and is garaged for the Winter. I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have ours. They are great cars and just fun to drive.

What I like so much is that I see so many people writing that they enjoy driving the SL,
I cannot wait to get it on the road.
one question maybe;
the car has 2 batteries.
leaving the car in storage for 3 months or so, it it better to store it locked or unlocked. It has an alarm that might consume battery power.
i have seen an SL being hooked up on the house power. Do these chargers come with the car?
How long does it take to drain (fairly healthy) batteries?
Ours is usually stored and covered in the garage from late November until sometime in March. We keep a battery tender hooked up to the battery in the trunk. The chargers do not come with the car, but there is a lot of good options on the market that are reasonably priced. CTEK is my favorite. It will keep the battery in the optimum level without over/under charging. Deltran also has several models that will and very reasonably priced. There are a coupe threads on here regarding battery charging when not in use. I have not had a problem with the engine battery running low while in storage. I do have a charger pigtail attached to it in the event it does run low. I'm in the US so the choices may be different for you across the pond. I do know CTEK is made in Europe so that would likely be a good place to look.
Hate to break it to you, but that is a horrible looking car. You should take it back right away and see if they will let you swap it for one of those shiny new Honda Civics! LOL j/k. Welcome to the family and congrats on picking up such a sweet icon.
