No Junk in the Trunk?
Bought my '2013 rig in '2021 but there is literally nothing under the panel on the floor of the trunk. No tool kit, no spare, nada. Not that I am necessarily operating to Car Show original standards...just curious more than anything else if it was removed. Purchased from a third party dealer on consignment from original owner. Thanks,

MB does provide a spare.
Tow hook is in the trunk, but is hidden beneath the panel. You have the pull the material back a bit with your fingers to see it. It doesn’t just sit below the lift up part where all the spaces are.

The contents might also be region dependent? I think? For example in Europe you would get a triangle? That is required by law I think? I also assume it depends on options too, if there are no run-flats a TireFit kit may be included.

My ‘13 had a 12v air compressor, which came in very handy, but the ‘16 I have now had nothing. Dealer said they were ordering an air pump for me but we will see if it actually shows up.

Did bit of a deep clean an interior inspection this weekend. For first time, pulled up the lower trunk insert to get to the interior frame and found tow hook, main battery (a bigun), and what I believe is the compressor/air pump for the seats. The latter was under a square foam cutout you had to remove to reveal the pump, which seemed a tad odd. Why would the pump be encased in foam? My assumption is for sound abatement, but the thing is so far down in the fuselage near the road, it seems like the sound would be hardly audible anyway, but I can get with the concept.
The car is amazing. I will admit that I was a fan but not deeply knowledgeable about all the detailed design features, so I am finding new stuff all the time...on the vehicle and on this forum. For example, during my deep clean, I was blowing out the screens over the speakers right behind the stowable wind screen when I thought, you know, not sure that I've heard anything from those speakers. Then I do a search on this forum and ... well, if you've been here a while, you know the issue. Seems like I spent an hour or more just reading one thread on the topic lol.
