Seems most of the new ones on eBay are plastic. Aren't the OEM metal?

Or this:
This is where things can get sticky 😕. Getting them off is always an adventure.
Sometimes, if you’re really careful, you can get them off with a plastic pry tool. But they can also be really tight (they clip in place) and a total pain Then you may be forced to get them from underneath. You may be able to get to it by removing the grille star. Worst case, you have to pull front bumper.
Dental floss, a myriad of plastic pry bars, masking tape, and hot glue type dent pullers all are tools that can help.
Lucky for me, I’m somewhat nostalgic, and that blue emblem has a lot of history. Admittedly that the black emblem looks more updated.

I was just curious as I like the standard badge as well. I'm a fan of keeping stock as much as possible. Thanks for your expertise.

My C350 does not have paddle shifters. Would replacing the entire steering wheel with one like this (which has shifters) add paddle shifters to my car?

I know the C63 had paddle shifters, so really going to depend on if wiring is present and correct in the steering column, and if it needs to be programmed.
I would think someone has done/tried this swap in the W204 Forum, probably would ask there….
For me, paddle shifters on the MB slush boxes isn’t exactly what I would describe as “positive engagement”. Much better suited for the MCT, but they do look sporty

I have them on the SL and really enjoy them from time to time. I've got the same tranny in the C350. I keep reaching for them when I drive the C-Class and they ain't there.
