Seems most of the new ones on eBay are plastic. Aren't the OEM metal?

Sometimes, if you’re really careful, you can get them off with a plastic pry tool. But they can also be really tight (they clip in place) and a total pain Then you may be forced to get them from underneath. You may be able to get to it by removing the grille star. Worst case, you have to pull front bumper.
Dental floss, a myriad of plastic pry bars, masking tape, and hot glue type dent pullers all are tools that can help.
Lucky for me, I’m somewhat nostalgic, and that blue emblem has a lot of history. Admittedly that the black emblem looks more updated.
