painted rear deck spoiler
Good morning first post on the site sense getting my 2019 SL 450 in silver, any one have any luck with a painted rear deck spoiler for you R231, and what do you think with one or without one. thanks Jb

What color is your car? You could do carbon. No paint matching necessary 😎
If you’re patient, the factory carbon ones do come up fairly regularly in the 2-3 hundred $ range….
if you wanted to paint one, this appears to be a factory non carbon version for $175.00

If you search for a previous post of mine I bought an EBay painted spoiler for my 2017 SL450 years ago. When it arrived it was a perfect color match, it was an easy install, I think it was subtle add on. However, starting this past summer the clear coat on it started peeling and it's rapidly degrading. I would like to find someone capable of cleanly and safely removing it and for a couple of hundred bucks buy a new one.

The one that I've bought comes from the same seller who sold me one for my S560 three years ago, so far so good.
To remove the spoiler is not difficult, just use a nylon ( fishing ) wire and slowly detach it.
