SL/R232: 2022 AMG SL Order Guide

I just realized that my configuration is now not available. A red top with Alpine Grey paint is verboten, for some reason. A violation of tuetonic taste, I guess. No big deal; a black top will look good, especially with the extended night package. I'll still have red leather, to provide a jolt of color.
Naturally, no price or delivery date yet.

They are actively working on the configurator and pricing. I've clicked on it frequently and there have been some updates yesterday and today. This was up on the Home Screen yesterday, but when you clicked the configurator tool it took you to their page without any SL's on there. Today when you click it, the SL55 and SL63 come up as models. But it just says "price coming soon." Should be any day. They ran some ads during the Oscars telecast.

Also the Crystal White seems available now here (used to be only in Germany afaik).

You might try Hightech Silver with a red roof, that might work!?
Some combi's depend on the country also: in some countries you MUST order black wheels with the night packages, happily overhere you can also order "normal" wheels (I am allergic for black wheels....).

Same for Patognia Red with Red softtop. Strangely I did see one in this combo in the factory, but I can agree it was a total mismatch (totally different red.....).

It's amazing how ****ty MBUSA is. Land Rover just introduced the new Range Rover Sport with full pricing at the same time and guess what you can already build your own. WTF is wrong with MBUSA? The American arm needs a total re-think and do-over.

^ Not only that, but those of us that are current owners were invited to see, feel, and sit in them at a preview weeks ago. Other than the press, I don't believe anybody in the US has been close to a new SL yet, over 6 months after it debuted.
I have pointed out on here a few times that the all-new full-sized Range Rover debuted the same week as the SL...also with full configurator, pricing, and ability to order that same day...and deliveries to customers started over a month ago.

MB hasn't been the best in years. It's a nightmare with delayed model releases, unavailable options, and rescheduled builds. S63 has not been released - it will be 2 years since the S class was released. GLS63 has been a disaster with stopped production for months and then supposed production restart in May - which alone is a joke - after months of delay - my May production has been pushed to September. It's not COVID that's causing all delays - MBUSA had these problems long before COVID.

Perhaps it's time for Mercedes to rethink their "The Best or Nothing" slogan, because it leaves them open to ridicule. "Nothing" is what I have received so far, in my attempt to order my seventh Mercedes. Estimated time of delivery? Nothing. Price? Nothing. The roof color I wanted? Nothing.
Nonetheless, I continue to look forward to taking delivery... some fine day. S63, Alpine Grey, black top (because a red top is verboten with Alpine Grey), red leather interior, Night Package II, black 21" wheels, and ceramic brakes (which will cost as much as an entire car did in the 1980s). Looks like my midlife crisis car will be a 3/4 life crisis car.

^ Thanks. Interesting that in August it is still for MY2022.
Looks like the AMG Active Ride Control will be available as a stand-alone option on the SL55 in Touring trim...I do not remember that option previously.
And the 'packages' section seems to be incomplete; for instance there is no indication of which SL63 trim line includes ARC (DY1), and SL63 DY2 only shows front axle lift. There are other inconsistencies with the configurator as well.

There is no MY23 ordering info yet, but that could probably happen any day now.

Any update on the 2023 order guide? Most 2023s are already well in production, an order guide l\not being released yet mens production might not start of 2023s until November or December.
