Well I’m back in and I a found a new dealer who just wants MSRP. But I’m not sure about their amount of allocations. I might be waiting.
I also heard a rumor that MB recently increased allocations to dealers for more then they originally thought. Anyone heard that?

I thought we might get pricing in early March. Have I missed it? Or what are the rumors now?
Maybe depends on the area. Here in EU, car can be ordered coming Tuesday (Marc 22nd), then also the prices will be available.
BTW, overhere for now only the SL63. It seems all interior options (including the Manufaktur/Exclusive leather ones) can be ordered from the start, including Crystal White. Same exterior colour options, wheels, etc. Will let you know Tuesday when all details are known for this area.
That is indeed Tarufo. As shown in the configurator / order guide in Germany it seems possible to order here. Only Dynamic Black is delayed here (Jan 2023). Also the Crystal White seems possible to order here!

Great to see the different configs on the screen.............with almost all options selected, you can keep it around Euro 218K (including VAT), that is not so bad in this area.
Base price of the SL63 e-performance will probably be around Euro 220K or so, so Euro 250K full options?
Because of lower CO2 tax, in some countries it can be even the same price as the SL63!

On the Swiss configurator you can select the SL55, Crystal White is not listed, Macchiato Exclusive is listed but not available if you select it, but it does allow Tartufo Exclusive. Strange.
My order is now all black. Initially disappointing that the Exclusive interiors are unavailable here, but all black does look good on the configurator. Still showing build date this time next month...

All countries seem to have different (available) configs. In Germany all interior trims (except Dinamica Black, Jan 2023) can be ordered, but only the SL63 (not the SL55, SL43 in May). Here in NL both the SL55 and SL63, with almost all trims (except Dinamica Black and Crystal White, all other Exclusives are ok, including Macchiatio Beige).
I like your US conversion rate from Euro’s, and anticipated US pricing!
Basic rule of thumb, forget currency conversion (you are not importing) and deduct 19% VAT.
There will always be some variances due to package/options pricing but it works for a rough estimate.
At facelift in 2017, R231 SL63 had a base price of around $152k before options. A nicely equipped unit was about $158k. And it was a tough sell the whole way through I think because of the price -- not because of the product.
We are in a wonderful and arrogant Seller's Market, which means the new SL63 is expected to sell at any price. But if the market becomes normalized, the base price of an SL63 had better start with a 17 in the US and not exceed the 180k-range with options. Just my opinion. There's no way this new SL63 is worthy of a $200k car.

Unfortunately, the SL63's never sold for list price either. That said, the S63 cab pricing easily reached the $200k mark and I would compare the new SL with that model & options. Those of course also didn't sell for list price either. But then we live in a different market. Once this normalizes, the new SL's will sell below MSRP as well.
Overhere, a new AMG SL63 with most options, is indeed about the same price as my current S63 convertible with also most options.
From build quality, look and feel, etc, that seems too expensive for the SL63, but ok, we will see.
They are actively working on the configurator and pricing. I've clicked on it frequently and there have been some updates yesterday and today. This was up on the Home Screen yesterday, but when you clicked the configurator tool it took you to their page without any SL's on there. Today when you click it, the SL55 and SL63 come up as models. But it just says "price coming soon." Should be any day. They ran some ads during the Oscars telecast.
