P.S. AND, we here on this site represent a tiny fraction of the MB owners out there. WE are reasonably informed and look at how many problems have been posted on this topic. Imagine the poor folks out there who just take delivery and don’t frequent websites like this one. What are THEY going through?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
This is always after on trickle charger all night, new battery and driving at least 20+ miles before the issue.
SL 63 is an excellent car when it works but shouldn't be sold to consumers with these unresolved issues esp. at a $200k price tag. I did give Mercedes every benefit of doubt during this process but patience has a limit.

Very happy to see MBUSA stepped up and is repurchasing, this type of positive corrective action is the only thing that gives me comfort to give them another shot ala the '25 CLE 53 AMG I recently ordered for my wife.
What's going to be the replacement?
My car has been manufactured March 30th 2023, according to the German dealer, it is a German MY 2024 car. The issues I had so far with this car are minor, only one more serious issue at 2000 km (engine misfiring) but they sorted it out, it had something to do with the fact that my car stood almost a year in a dealer's showroom unuses (fuel and fuel pump issues). So far, knock on wood, there are no serious issues with the car and I enjoy it tremendously.
Still hoping for a few better software updates to sort out a few of issues I think it has but it may take a while.
Yesterday, my local dealer did the ignition control unit update, so the system doesn't look for a key all the time, which is supposed to improve the battery life. We'll see...
Is it just the fob issue. Sounds fishy. The car I'm looking at was lemoned for this issue this past spring. What now ? Does it go to the scrap yard??? Has it been fixed???
Thank you all in advance
