Oil Change after 1,000 miles??
Should I have the oil changed after the 1,000 break in period?

My service advisor says not needed, but still thinking of having it done.

Those were the days!! Yes, in pre-synthetic oil times that is what one would do with a new car - however, I really don't think this is a requirement any longer.

SL65(R231), SL65(R230), 600SL, 560SL(86), 560SL(89),250SL(68),250SL(67), 190SL, 300SL(GW)
Just to be on the safe side........I always do a very early oil change. There has been many reports of less than perfectly clean internals. Oil and filters are cheap............better yet, do it yourself.
