Question Leftover 24's How Much Off?

My dealer has several leftover 24's and 23's for that matter. I know there's $15k in trunk money from MBUSA on 63's (I believe it might also include 25's) but how much more/in addition should one get for those 24's being on the lot for ~a year? $20k, $30k, $40k?

In 24 hours, zero relies...........I guess sales are even worse than I thought. I did look at the MB build site. Late November and no pricing yet for the SL63 and SL63eS. The R232 is in trouble.

No more MB:(
I'm not in the market for an SL, but if I was I would want 30-40 on a 63 and 15+ on a 55. We're in a metro market so we don't generally see the deep cuts a smaller market might. I just looked at MBUSA and checked out 2024 inventory, seems endless. Not sure if all these vehicles are real. 63's easily price into the 200's, stupid pricing. Some of the limited/special versions are in the mid 200's, insane.

What are "limited/special" versions???? MB is clueless..........I've said it before, fire the top management and entire BOD. Sales are terrible. Reliability is near the bottom of the surveys. Designs questionable.
Even something as simple as colors are deficient.......look at AM or Porsche. This will likely be the last SL.

Expensive, I can't imagine anyone with half a brain going for this - https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a4...ur-manufaktur/

232 is more AMG roadster and less SL IMO.

This data is a year old but in late 2023 we got a 2022 SL63 that had been on the lot for 13 months for $40k off. $20k in trunk money from MB and $20k off by the dealer.

trunk is currently $15k on 63’s and dealers should go another -$20k or more for those stuck on floor plan post 90+ days

Unfortunately these vehicles were overpriced to begin with….

SL63 (R232)
Aim for 50-60k off.
Not sure if you can lease a 2023.

So sad that MB has all but destroyed the SL story. The R232 may well be the last and maybe the worst series.

I had an SL550 obsidian black for a few years. Loved it.

But nice as it was I find that my 2022 AMG SL63 is better in every way - for me. Faster, more comfortable, rides better, more variations on the systems available, etc. For some, the "old" SL is and was a superior automobile - no argument with anyone who feels that way. But it is not a universal feeling amongst those of us who had previous versions.

What is “trunk money?” And how can you find out how long a car has been on a dealers lot? (Other than the timeframe on something like cars dot com)

Trunk money means that the manufacturer has given the dealer extra money back - meaning that the cost of the car to the dealer is less than what the traditional "invoice" price is. It is less by the amount of the "trunk money." A discount to the dealer one might say. Usually given by the manufacturer on slow moving vehicles. And often the dealer gives all or part of it in the form of a lesser price to the customer.

Got it. Is this some type of posted or known amount? Or is it usually figured out in negotiations?
I “think” I’m getting back in the market for an SL for my wife finally.
