Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound system worth it?
Looking at ordering an SL 55.
Is the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound system worth the upgrade? Yes I like music but w the top down in FL most of the time not sure worth the $'s
Coming from a Ferrari PF and 90% just heard the engine unless at a stop light.

Thank you for the feedback. I have a friend w a new S class. Going to listen to his stereo hopefully it will give me an idea though not a direct comparison.

I did not have it on my GTS (a hardtop) but ordered it on my GTC (convertible). I noticed a big difference - for the better. Much clearer and cleaner. And I drive with the top down most of the time - live in Southern California. Now I have an SL63 and ordered it also with the High-End sound system. Drive top down most of the time and love it.
I am going to go for it.

2022 AMG SL 63. 2021 APR stage 1 Audi SQ7.
I have no comparison as I only have my car with the upgrade. With the top off, the sound is stellar. I’m happy to have the extra bass and highs with the open air!

Thanks for all the feedback. I am confirming if I order now, I will get a 2026 model and not the end of the 2025 run.
I don't see anything on-line for the 2226 only the Maybach version.

Perhaps get something on the lot, a 2025 in the inventory as only 2025 model year vheicles' tariffs are being absorbed by mbusa... Right now.

I concur with California John, and of course W205C43PFL. It is the most full and rich sound system I have had in a car, and is part of elevating the roadster(especially top down) experience. I do try to be considerate at stop lights, and traffic stoppage by turning down the volume. Just to hear over the wind noise and road noise, I have to turn the volume up.
