SL 63 carbon ceramics

What are the odds of being able to by these brakes as a kit besides the calipers and rotors is there anything else needed? I regret not getting a car without them and would like to be able to upgrade if the cost could be sub 10K.

No way in hell, unless you find them used. The parts alone probably list for over $25K these days. I put them on my 2019 SL450, mainly because they make ZERO DUST, which keeps my wheels spotless and they look pretty cool as well.

Yes, and what KIND of miles? There was a fellow on this site a few years ago who took his brand new SL65AMG to the track and destroyed the front CCB in a few hours. The brakes are bulletproof, but they have their limits. The MB dealer refused to warranty the brakes and the repair bill was something like $13K, as I recall. He got the car fixed, took it across the street to the Porsche dealer and traded it in on a new GT3, if memory serves me right. As I understand it, they WEIGH the CCB rotors to gauge the wear.

Since you mentioned it, I remember we were talking about CCBs on track in another thread, and how irreversible some type of damage can be.
