SL/R232: 2027 Changes?

The flat-plane V8 is EURO7 compliant and the companies have until Nov. 2027 to implement the changes. The Euro 7 regulations start on Nov. 2026
The SL43 is not EURO7 compliant and gets killed off and replaced by the SL53. All cars will now be 4matic
Assumed specs subject to change:
- SL 53 AMG 4matic+ 443 HP +22 HP (M256 Evo R6)
- SL 55 AMG 4matic+ 537 HP +22 HP (M177evo V8-BiTurbo)
- SL 63 AMG 4matic+ 642 HP + 22 HP (M177evo V8-BiTurbo)
- SL 680 Maybach 604 HP + 22 HP (M177evo V8-BiTurbo)
Unlike the AMG models the Maybach feels like the SL's of old with its softer suspension, engine and transmission calibration. I heard that this softer tuning maybe expanded to regular SL models as well.

While the hp numbers sound enticing, the cars are technically complex, very heavy and the performance easily matched by simpler engine designs.
We know from the AMG GT BS, it’s no problem to go above 700hp on these without the mild hybrid.

Will they update it similar to the S class hyperscreen or do they keep the same tablet display?
It feel like the segment of convertible GT is getting softer and softer, doesn’t leave me much options but to return to 911which is not a GT and not comfortable enough for a long roadtrips

Very little can be said at this point about the interior.
It's highly unlikely that the center screen will stay and I would expect (please, just a guess of mine without any factual backup) that it may be similar to a toned down version (aka design elements) of the upcoming AMG GT 4 door EV. I am thinking center and interior panel design. Maybe instrument cluster & center screen. Hopefully no passenger screen.
Below the current SL interior in a red color theme to match the AMG GT 4 door ones for reference. I think we will see design elements cross over, not the package
As for the exterior, there are only some spy shots showing a new front-end and digital headlights with star design but the rear will be updated too.

Technically all the usual upgrades
- MB.OS with the latest MBUX interface
- Full sensor suite including MB-Drive.Assist Pro
- Updated assistance systems
- Steering wheels with a toggle & roller button
