Gojiman,
You didn't mention which car model you're refering to but since this is the 107 forum, I think this holds for all model years.
At the base of the wiper arm where the arm connects to the drive gear from the wiper motor, if you look/feel closely, you should be able to notice a cap that is flush with the arm and rounded on the end. Use your thumb on the rounded end and pry outward away from the windshield. This cap should pop up easily exposing a nut about 10-12mm. Using a box or open end wrench, simply tighten the nut until just snug. Check the other wiper the same way, get back in the car try the wipers and you should be fine.
Post how you make out-

I have a 84 380SL Thanks I see the nut you are talking about but neither wiper arm moves I can hear the motor working. How do you get to the wiper motor and the parts that attach to the motor and the wiper arms?

Try one last thing before you rip the car apart to get to the wiper motor. Loosen/remove the nut on the driver's side and lift the arm off the spindle/drive gear. Examine the gear(male) against the drive arm socket (female) for excessive wear. With the arm off the spindle, turn the wiper switch on, and watch the spindle/gear. If it turns back and forth an appropriate amount, I'm guessing 60 degrees, and the gear teeth seem intact, then your problem is the female connector at the arm being excessively worn. You'll have to replace the arm, as I don't believe new inserts are available.
If during your test of the wiper motor, the spindle/gear doesn't move, or moves very little, then your original thought that you've got a problem with something in the drive motor itself would seem to be accurate; and it's a bear to get that motor. Somebody with an Alldata subscription or MB WIS Disc is going to have to help you if it turns out you were right. Good luck!
