Hey guys, I have been searching online and could not find anyone who has installed air suspension on an R107.
I think it would be very interesting to have air ride on a R107.
Help me find examples of this work and build an R107 on air.
I have not seen anything for or about the R107. It seems like a lot of the kits are designed for American cars of the classic 'low rider' genre. For most of the R107's still running, the cost of doing this might come close to the value of the car.....except the Concours Queens, of course. I'd love to drop mine about 1.5", but I cannot bring myself to cut the springs.

I talked to a company and they have a system that would fit for about $900 however it would take some welding to get it to fit. I also talked to a local shop that said they would install it for $2000...yikes. I wish I knew how to fabricate brackets so I could do it myself. An alternate option would be to have them fabricate the brackets and then install the system myself which I'm confident I could do. Still pondering that decision.
In the meantime I have decided I will cut the springs. I am buying some cheap used springs off EBay and using those.
It seemed easier to just cut the old coil spring out. Spring compressors were more of a nuisance. I'm going to try something else on the other one.
There were no instructions that came with the kit, and I've tried emailing but gotten no response. So.... I think I've figured out what part goes where and why! The shocks get relocated since the bag replaced the coil spring. They supplied some cool relocation hardware for that. The kit just includes the suspension components. No air management.

I was wondering if you have any pictures from underneath the car showing the setup. I recently purchased this kit and as you said no instructions! Just trying to figure out where the relocation hardware is installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
