I'm not married yet - engaged. My Gallardo was a gift from my fiance. The SL55 is mine. Bought and paid for.

I can't even imagine the rock you must wear! Nice gift from the fiance! Hopefully when I decide to marry (in a very, very, very, long, long time), I can get my fiance something as nice as that. But, I want to wait until I'm 30 or so to get married (I'm 23, 24 in June).

Guess I'm the youngest here, 20 years old for me. I purchased the car myself. Tying to post a pic with the changes I've made, but keep getting this message "File Too Large. Limits are 800 x 600. Your file is 2048 x 1536. " Any help?

Quote: LOL, yea, nuff said. I bought a house before I bought my toys. The reasoning behind DaCeptakon's buying the cars before the property I could never understand. Had a friend that bought a S class benz but still lived with his parents. These guys get the cars for status and image, then when they get whatever they are after (girls), then what?? Take them to your parents house? Like I said, Lambo driving into an apartment. To each their own I guess.
I don't have an apartment, I live in 5500 square ft estate with my parents.

And are you judging me? Don't worry about my reasoning for doing things. I am only wondering how the other young members have managed to collect an assortment of AMGs like they have, simply rhetorical! Don't judge me...

Where in my post did I have a problem with you or was judging you in any way? To recap, I said "...I could never understand...to each their own.." Everyone has a reason for doing things and thats not my business. Re-read my post!! If you have a problem with that, then thats YOUR problems and YOUR misunderstanding. Not getting in a pissing war with anyone on here.

I resent that .. but I would probably have to agree that you are right 97% of the time.

I'm 23, paid for mine on my own. And no, I don't live in it, or live in a dump. I have 4 properties.

The car is lowered, I just live in a new development with lots of potholes so the car is raised in the pic.

Hey vivid, luv those wheels. Who makes them? Any body else know? My sl55 is silver though, so I would presume that the black wheels won't look as good. Oh and btw, they look like they're 20s or are they 22s?

I think those wheels are Lowenhart's. They look nice! I have black 20" HRE's on my SL.

Yea, those are the new Lowenhart rims, w/ the double-3spoke. Black wheels w/ a polished lip would contrast with your silver car very well! I have a diamond silver SL that i'm slapping on some iForged double 5-spoke rims onto in black w/ polished lip... I was torn between getting gunmetal rims (like the SL65 stockers) or black wheels, but in the end decided that black would give it more of a contrast and less of a "my wheels are dirty" look.

Thw rims are Lowenhart LSR's 20 inch. They are 9.5 in the front by 11 in the back. Thanks, I've got more pics and some more mods coming to the car soon.

Thanks everyone! I live in the midwest and there really is not a quality wheel and tire place to install the new wheels. Did anybody go to their dealerships to have them order or install the new wheels? If so, did the dealership give anyone any grief over replacing the stock wheels with 20s?

You could down load free sofware off the web called PicPerk and resize your jpeg files there.

SL55 Owners Age
Not sure if this is something to be proud of, or not. Looks like I am the oldest owner that has responded, to date, at a youthful 67!

You are only as old as you look, feel and act. I am told that I look 55, I feel like I am 45 and often act like I am 25, sometimes younger.

It's not suprising that many young people drive nice cars in California, if you go any UC campus there are lots of 80k+ cars in the lot driven by 20 year olds. If you have a chance to talk to a few of them, the majority have family own business which they will be in after they get their degrees. Why is this concept so hard to understand? Ofcourse that's no always the case but no Deuce Bigalows around as far as I see.

Imagine what kind of car Bill Gate's son will be driving...and what business he will eventually be in, hmm...software maybe?
