Ages for the AMG SL owners

Saw this in the Roadster Thread. Curious to see the ages of SL55/65 owners on this forum who own the 2 cars. I myself am 27.

62. I drove Porsches until I turned 60; by then I wanted something that wouldn't beat me up so badly.

Out here in SoCal you have 22 year olds driving $60K cars... but living with their folks and living paycheck to paycheck... I never understood that mentality.

I'm 38.

Sling lots of drugs!! :v AMGgirl though, damn, 25!!! Marry me!!!!

Ian's right though. Live in So. CA where alot of my friends drive nice cars, but still rent or live with Mom and Dad. Never thought it was right owning a Lambo and pulling up to your apartment. If I had it my way, I would still live with M&D, if they would have me. I love being spoiled with nice home cooking.

I have friends that drive CLK55s, M5s/M3s, and S5s and that is all theirs with their name on the insurance and payments and I know what they do. But thye still ive at home with Mom and Dad also. As far as their jobs, that information can't be disclosed..haha

Well if you got it, then flaunt it!

LOL, yea, nuff said. I bought a house before I bought my toys. The reasoning behind DaCeptakon's buying the cars before the property I could never understand. Had a friend that bought a S class benz but still lived with his parents. These guys get the cars for status and image, then when they get whatever they are after (girls), then what?? Take them to your parents house? Like I said, Lambo driving into an apartment. To each their own I guess.

Hahha.. that happens a lot where I used to live, in Glendale.. A certain ethnicity there loves nice cars, and they would drive 911's and S-classes to their apartment complexes.. Never made sense to me..

I think I come in as the youngest.. Just got my SL55, and am 22. And no, I don't live at home, got a nice house in Newport Beach all paid off, and an apt in Los Angeles where I live during the year while going to grad school.

31 and the house and cars are paid for, but I didn't have it five years ago and it may be gone tom.. I have owned several Porsches and Jap. 300+hp imports and this car is it for me. Charlotte, NC doesn't have much bling and for under $200K nothing else interested me with a retractable top. I hated my SC430 and loved my 2001 M3.

No offense... but the average house in Newport Beach goes for what... about $2.5MM? And you've paid it off by age 22 and you're a student? Either you play for the Angels (though I don't know of any student athletes in their system), won the lottery, or you're sitting on some giant trust fund?

Haha, not 2.5 million, 1.2 or so... My house is 1.7, and yes.. I mentioned in another post that I happen to be lucky enough to have a trust fund. But not a huge trust fund...I say this because I have buddies who are sitting on SERIOUS trust funds which make mine look like Oprah next to Warren Buffett (a good friend of mine has the last name of "Nielsen", think "Nielson TV ratings & Media Research"). I have also stock traded for the past 4 years and made a good sum of money on options which is my "play money". However, i'm goin through law school now so that I don't have to live off of my interest for the rest of my life (don't wanna be TOO much of a spoiled brat)..

What always amazes me is the East Coaster's born into old money, now THATS serious cash.. They toss around millions like it's monopoly cash. I went to a party in Boston a few years ago where there were kids like that and the subject of the conversation I butted into was "Are we going to St. Tropez or the Burj Al Arab in Dubai this summer?"
