Hilarious

Ok, I realize this is a SL55 forum, but this is too funny. I'm on vacation in France, and I think the Brabus wheels and gas cap and mirrors are equal to the price of this car. I've included a SL55 pic from Monaco as well as a shot of a DB9 to keep it on track.

BTW, the DB9 is an amazing looking car. I like the way my SL55 looks but wow, the DB9 is amazing in person. Also, the wood and leather are unbelievable.

I'd take it for a few rounds of golf! Does it come with a caddy?

I bet it's the fastest, best equipt golf cart I've ever seen! I thought the purpose of the Smart car was for environmental reasons. You know, great mileage, low emissions etc..... save the tree's kinda stuff. I think having brabus customize your Smart car is an oxymoron! Brabus to me stands for outlandish excess (horse power and performance) & not environmental conservation. But you know what, I'd definitely take it out on the golf course. Could you imagine the looks on the grounds keepers and course marshals?

What's sad is that the Brabus Smart keeps up with the Cayenne Turbo on a nice twisty track like Millbrook.

You think that's crazy?

Startech, Brabus' American Tuning counterpart, tunes up Vipers and Voyagers all in the same shop!

Do those wheels look familair to you?

The Smart is a bit of a gay icon here... and Mercedes dealers are full of the loss-making cars. BMW hit the spot much better with the Mini IM-not-so-HO. Agree with you about the DB9, huge on road presence.

I love the comments. It would make a terrific golf cart!

BlueSL, what amazed me was the design. Ian Callum right? The way the whole car looked like it was meant to be one piece. Also, I love the HUGE piece of wood going up to the windshield. I don't know if there is glare, but it looks amazingly beautiful.

Yes, Iam Callum designed it as a follow-on to his DB7; he then went on to Jaguar ad the AM V8 Vantage was done by Henrik Fisker who has moved on as well. Seems the time lag between the design being signed off and the car appearing in the car-buyer's consciousness is quite long.

The Aston is a great car to look at, especially when it's on the road and moving; one passed me yesterday, made my 911 feel very ho-hum.

They like to stress how the front wings/fenders and the hood come right down to the front of the car which gives an unfussy appearance compared to the nose cone we're familiar with on SLs. The wood is very striking, the bamboo looks great but the glossy piano black is to die for.

04 SL55 (sold),05 SL55, 09 SL63, 07 C2S cab Porsche,
Thinking about a DB9

I've looked at the DB9 multiple times and test drove one as well three times. It's a great car. If it had a sunroof I probably would already own one. I feel like I'm in a cave while driving the DB9. it's dark inside the car in the bright Las Vegas daytime. I have to say that despite the shortcommings of my particular SL55, when it's operating at full potential it's a pleasure to drive. Living in Vegas and having the top down is a pleasure. I'll certainly consider the Volante however when it is finally released here.

Certainly is a bit claustrophobic in there if you chose a dark colour. The glass house is quite small. At the dealer launch I wend to, there was a dark green car with a dark green interior. Too much. A light interior is essential for this car IMHO.
