Starting to look like a keeper
If these pics of the new S shows the new design trends of MB, Im a bit worried about the redesigned look of the next gen sl. With this new design concept, my 04 sl55 may have to hang around a bit longer.

CLS profile/lights, Maybach trunk lid, BMW fascia/lack of centre console. Most of all, I hate the front wheel arches and the way they interact with the headlamps. Mercedes has entered its Bangle phase.

I wonder if the BMW design guys are laughing their heads off now that the new S has been revealed. I could hear them now..."could you believe they bought it too!" Apparently, Bangle must have some pull and influence not only with BMW design but MB as well. I wonder what autrocity will they do to the sl line up?

The fender flares do suck.....looks like a Ford 500 or as someone said, the Chrysler 300. But remember these are daily drivers for the masses. If you want a track car, think of a Mustang GT500 stripped for the track for an easy $40K+5K for seats, rollcage, etc.

I don't like it... but I'd like to think it's a near miss... Get rid of the flaired fenders and roll back to MB's traditional dash and it will work better...

Interior...Not so good, especially the doors look too plastic like.
Exterior...looking nicer everytime I see it, the car shown is a base model thus it looking sedated, with AMG body kits and wheels the fender flare will start to look it's part I am sure.

I'll have to wait until I see it in person. Sometimes pics don't do justice. But I will say that my SL55 is a keeper!

i don't like the interior at all it looks like crap
the exterior is alright not a fan of the fenders and front end of it.
basically if this is the real thing GOD DAMN WE ARE DOOMED!
the New 7 series don't look that good either the more i look at the *** the uglier it is, but the front angel eyes headlights are gorgeous!
