Upcoming video: BMW M6 vs. tuned SL55 AMG

Modifications to the SL55 AMG was:

"The Mercedes is tuned with different wheel in on the compressor and revs a bit more than standard. Also if I should beleive a post from the owner the catalysts are gone and other filters. Had been dynoed to 560 HP according to one earlier post, but that should be taken with a grain of salt. So different compressor internals "so the compressor works a bit harder" and ECU that is. "When the speedometerneedle is in hte bottom at 330 km/h it is still accelerating . Have witnessed acceleration still at 310 km/h via a Garmin GPS."

From roll 100 km/h (60 mph). SL55 AMG gets the jump.

If the 911 turbo took a beating like that something tells me the SL might be in trouble. If it does have a few mods though it should be close.

If the race is from a dig (standing start) then the M6 will have to pull a lot harder than the M5 to win unless to race goes to 150mph. If the M6 wins, then I'll buy one.

It will be to around 250 km/h, dont remember exactly but both of us almost bumped of the road.

Wow ... so based on this and the previous videos, it looks like a Stage 1 tuned SL55 is somewhere between a stock M5 and a stock M6? Seems like the M6 is an awesome car, I'm very impressed. Nice video.

Thanks! Yes, this SL55 did not have cats and redlined at around 7000 rpm. It takes alot to convince some here...
