SL65 RennTech runs 11.32@123

Went to the dragstrip today with the SL600. My buddy also brought his RennTeched SL65. He wanted me to take his car for a couple of passes so he could see what the car was capable of. I was able to rip an 11.32@123mph.

That car pulls so hard it feels like your eyes are getting sucked back into your head.

I was able to get an all time best 11.56@121 in the 600.

The temp was 81F and the humidity was low at 23%. In cooler temps and higher humidity, I bet I could dip into the 10's in that car.

He was running BFG drag radials

That is awesome! My best the other day was 11.7@122.7. I am looking into what mods can be done. Does he have the Renntech ECU/TCU and the airbox or just the chips? Nice runs.

Any idea what you can actually buy that package for from Renntech? Do they negotiate prices or is what you see on the site what you pay to play?

Drag radials are not slicks..... True MT slicks would cut another 2 tenths off or so as demonstrated by DerekFSU on his E55.

As soon as we get the custom wheels made for the car then we will be running M/T ET Street's. Problem we have had is our rear break system wouldnt allow a 17in rim on it, So we have Bogarts Racing trying to customise 17 rims for it.. *keep fingers crossed* lol

Did you talk to DerekFSU? He seemed to have solved this on his E55.....

E55 have diffeerent brake systems then a SL-65 if im not mistaken. with the size of the rotors and brake calipers it makes it kinda hard for them to do it.

Sorry for the confusion, yes the E55 brakes are different.

It was more that Derek had a set made by someone for his car.

I am sure they can make a set for the SL65 and Treynor may be interested as well.

Great runs. But why would you want higher humidity? Low humidity means more oxygen available for combustion per unit volume.
