Please excuse my ignorance. I have raced an SLR and got my *** handed to me. However, I dont wanna make excuses up, I have problems with my kompressor unit and the car is now in the service center being looked at ( finally ).

But this is unbelievable! I believe this SL65 is bone stock. Can you imagine it with a renntech upgrade and LSD????

Ahmed, The SLR quit around 200Mph. You can tell, just listen to the tone of the engine. Plus the 65 had quite a good bit of length between it and the SLR at the start.

And there is no way that the SL65 is stock or Hans forgot to put in the limiter

Thats what I think tooo... definitely no limiter on the SL

But I didnt know the SLR was limited to 200mph!! Or did the driver just let off? Cause the SLR driver sounded surprised!

What are the torque figures between these two beasts?

Honestly, I don't think the SLR gave it 100%. And that was the passanger saying "GO GO GO GO, He's coming!" :p

then he did a race in his ferrari 575 vs his SL KLEEMANN... the ferrari killed the SL

How many of you think an SL 65 modded to the level of Treynor's (and derestricted) could beat a Carrera GT or Enzo from 0 to top speed?

Considering the 550 and 575 have practically the same performance I would have to say BS. Also, the 575 isn't going to "kill" a normal SL55 much less a Kleeman.

Thats cause our friend's father doesn not have a K3 package. Its a cut and paste setup, only kompressor.. stock exhaust, no LSD, stock suspension and absolutely no traction.

A K3 SL55 is no roll over beyond any means imaginable!

my father DOES have a KLEEMANN K3 supercharger.. not the whole kit....
cuz the whole kit makes the car heavier thats y a full kleemann does 0-100km in 4.4sec
while my fathers kleemann does it in 4.0 sec....
if u dont believe me... it was in Arabia Motors magazine issue 59....
u live in bahrain u should know....
while the 575M has a ferrari 575 Maranello sport package by Euro Motors..(bahrain).. that car does 0-100 to in 3.8sec... just till next year... my dad might send the SL to the US... and the tuner company is gonna make the SL55 a rocket... producing from 900-1000hp... yes 900-1000hp

Possibly in actual acceleration, but I think that high speed stability and aerodynamics will come more into play at those extremely high speeds. And although the SL65 is extremely stable, I don't think that it will be as stable as an Enzo, Carrera GT, McLaren F1, etc. I could also be totally wrong, as I have no experience with these kind of speeds.

About the governor in the SLR, I'm pretty sure that its top speed is at 207mph. I'm not sure if it is governed at that, or if that is its actual top speed. 207mph is the fastest speed I have ever heard of Car & Driver or Road & Track getting in it.

I will be honest with you son,

Your father's car was delivered to me to my house before it was handed over to Arabia Motors that day!

So trust me, I know much more about that car than you think. And that was the day when I decided to save up to buy an SL AMG!

Yes, it was silver blue and red FAB interior. Gorgeous car mashala! And it sounded crazy from the inside! Mashalaaa!

Has your father done anything else to it since then? Cause I remember it had stock suspension, stock brakes and body kit. It did not even have the Kleemann LSD which wil lock up your rear by 60%! That is the best mod for your dad's car! Also the speed sensitive suspension.

Could you please give us some more info on the company that claims to boost the power to 1000? I need to seee it with my own eyes!

I know Bill Knobloch pretty well, and i have seen what he did to the E39 M5.... but i have no idea why you think he can tune your dad's SL55!!! DA dont tune benz cars ) as far as your website is concerned )

I'm pretty sure they can tune a Benz, but they just havent yet.
