SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: My SL65 got lonely...

My SL65 got lonely...
[warning - gratuitous brag thread, hit "back" now ! ]
... so I stopped by Claridge's this afternoon to snap some pictures of the red Carrera GT they have parked in their showroom, and lo and behold, they had a silver '06 S65 at the Mercedes dealer next door. I looked, I liked, I bargained, and ultimately I drove the S65 home and left my RX400h looking for a new owner.
I'll have to get a pic tomorrow of the S65 and SL65 parked next to each other in the garage. It's a very nice sight - 24 cylinders, 4 turbos & 1300HP from just two parking spots!

Hey Treynor, what's the current HP on your SL 65?
Treynor, have you done anything recently again to your SL 65? What are you planning to do to it? What's the current HP and Torque on it?
Are you planning to do the same upgrades to your new S 65?
Any plans to get the all-new S 69 AMG 2008 model when it comes out?
Some new vids would be awesome too ....

I'm planning on leaving the S65 stock. Then again, I always say that at first And yes, I'm already on the list for whatever uber-S class is available in '08.
The SL65 has the RENNtech airbox, but I haven't made it back to the dyno or 'strip since the upgrade. Other people seem to pick up 30 RWHP across the RPM band, and I expect that's what I will see as well.

Can I ask what you paid? I have seen a very very low miles, (sub 2k) for around $120k. I am in the market for a S65 to match my SL65.

If you saw one for that price you should have been all over it. I haven't seen any even close to that.

Reminds me of a salesman at Ultimate Motors here in Orlando who once mentioned to me that a new (at the time) 2005 SL65 fully loaded came through with less than 1k miles and he had trouble selling it for 140k. I told him I would have gladly taken it off their lot.

Ahhhh yes, the dream cars..... I have chased a couple of those. I would be happy to buy a SL with 1K for 140 as well!
