Cool Looked at the Bentley GT today

I was totally impressed by the interior, however the back seat area was smaller than I imagined. I am trying to decide if I should buy at the auction or just order the car. The dealer told me that it should take up to five months if I ordered the car. I haven't really seen a big difference in the auction price, which is around $155,000.00. I dont think that $25,000.00 is enough to give up customizing the car, unless I find the perfect match. By the way, is the Mulliner package worth getting?

I like the mulliner package myself but wouldn't be a deal breaker if the right deal was to be had. The cars haven't dropped far enough for me to worry about finding the perfect used one. I would look at the usual big dealers and see if the color/option car with a couple thousand miles can be had immediately to save 25-30k and if not work a deal off sticker on a new one. I am on the list for the convert which isn't that far off if that appeals to you.

What is the time frame for the convertible? My wife would drop dead over a convertible GT! My only interest at the time is the GT.

I wouldnt buy a car like this, without having the choice of customizing exactly as i want it. Nice car, would love have one my self.

Cool

I believe that the convertible GT or the GTC is the only option. I am going to get on the waiting list or order one if I can.

Cool

Just talked to the dealer and he said that 96 people are ahead of me after trying to discourage me on the GTC. Does anyone have a reference for a excellent bentley salesman?

something fast
DBERRY7578 do you have a second home somewhere else in the country? I know some dealers won't sell new cars into other dealers territories. If you have a house in a state with no dealer than you can call around the country to a dealer with the shortest list and use your second address for initial registration. What specifically are you looking for? I have a buddy who deals with several bentley dealers, I'll ask him what he can do.

Only in Fla. I just don't want to deal with the BS. I will go anywhere in Fla if the salesperson is decent. I am working with the local guy at Palm Beach Bentley, but he seems more interested in clearing his current inventory than being up front. Because of this I am going to look at the Vanquish today, just to compare the cars.

I put my deposit down 2years ago. I was a little disapointed to find out that the top would be a soft top but what can you do. I am sure they will be be available much sooner than the dealers let on. It won't be like a ferrari 430 spider demand. If you want a neat car that you can walk in and buy under sticker, go look at the db9 volante.

I don't think Bentley has territories like Ferrari. South Florida is probably the hottest market for the cars. I would call the big dealers like Downers Grove in Illinois, etc. for available spots if interested.. Who knows, many people haven't even heard the convert is coming out yet.

There is a Gt at the dealership for $162,000.00 with 4400 miles. Black with Tan leather. What do you think about that price?

I think that is about average. Do a quick search on cars.com across the country and see where they are. There should be some room in that price.

The SL65 will take care of the rapist, and the GT will just add a little sugar to my morning coffee and compliment the 65. I will not trade the 65 for any car on the market at this time including the F cars, my wife and I are just building our little stable.
