Though My new Car was a competitor with the SL65(pics)
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to post some pics of my 2005 Carrera GT. I just got the car in about 4 months ago and thought I would post some pictures of it in the SL65 forum becuase of the similarities between the two in the HP section. I thought these two pics were the best. If you look you can see my Maybach in the background in the garage.

AMG1 - Welcome!
I see that you've been a member since 2004 but only recently have said howdy.... Welcome aboard, and thanks for sharing.
Why'd you choose the 62 over the 57? Was it for the back seating, and you have a driver?

Thanks for the compliment Adam, very kind of you to say. ClayJ I chose the 62 over the 57 becuase I thought to myself, I have a S500 that I use as my daily driver, and a 57 is not a whole lot longer than my S-class, therefore I decided to go with the 62. I also sometimes use a driver that I hire part time when I go to special events or parties. Hope this answers your question alright.

MJ1133 I do not plan on it immediatley becuase only the turbo type model will be coming about but once the new Turbo S Cab comes out I believe that I will be buying one of those.

Well, some of the main differences between the normal turbo and the turbo S are the brakes and the fact that the S has the extra 30HP which makes the car surprisingly faster. But in reguards to handling they are one in the same. Hope this answers your question.

A friend of mine's client has a Phantom he drives once or twice a week; so I have spent a lot of time in it. He has no driver and people always seem to think its overkill. I havent spent any time in a Maybach, but have heard its a little nicer from some sources. We shoved 3 guys and 5 girls in the RR once after clubbing though and it was nuts, especially with the middle compartment in the back getting smashed.

i'm just wondering, how often do u drive your maybach without a driver?? since people usually think that if you have a maybach, you have a driver fulltime.. maybe?? i would think if somebody had a maybach, they'd have a driver working fulltime
